Sexual Maturity

At age ten (age eight for Hizaki and Marixi), donations arrive at their caste-specific habitats to begin their education. Socialization takes up a considerable portion of the curriculum, with lessons on sexual anatomy, the specifics of production, and proper hygiene.

At ages twelve to thirteen, curiosity about sexual matters peaks. Young femmar learn about body image, sexual pleasure, group dynamics, and socio-sexual etiquette.

Castehood Sexual Education

Subaki and Zaxiri are sexually mature by age twelve, leading to a series of informal gatherings called Subaxir-Socials. These parties occur once a week so that Zaxir and Subak can encounter one another socially and romantically without adults present.

  • Subaxir-Socials end at age fourteen when these castes begin a period of arranged sexual socialization with Hizaki and Bizaki.

Hizaki and Bizaki are said to reach sexual maturity at age fourteen (as do Marixi). Fourteen is the age at which a femmar is physically capable of engaging in sexual acts, allowing for attendance at their first Zaxir Social. Organized by Zaxiri House, Hizaki from Mynu and Bizaki from Pikalit travel to Toxis for socialization parties with Zaxiri clutches.

  • At the same time, Citizen Socials, hosted by the Subaki Citizenry Center, enables young Bizaki and Hizaki to fraternize with young Subaki. Citizen Socials are far less sexualized (though sexual activity does often occur, as there are no adults present during the events).

By age fifteen, when every femmar in caste training (except for Marixi) has had group intercourse or varying levels of it, these social parties come to an end. At age sixteen, Hizaki, Bizaki, Zaxiri, and Subaki are free to mingle with one another socially and sexually as the intense sequestration period around their schooling lessens. This mingling occurs easily since many young citizens attend vocational schooling outside their caste-specific institution.

Post-Castehood Zaxiri and Subaki

A Zaxiri cannot reside or work in a bluzsh until she is sixteen. In the Fifth and Sixth Gen eras, multi-generational citbluz were common due to older Zaxiri showing little concern for age among the freeborn Seventh. Zaxiri proliferation within the Ninth Gen led to a ban by the Sixth Gen on housing Ninth Gen Zaxiri in citbluz catering to multi-gens.

  • Such rules created a strict generational divide between the Ninth and their elders until the Tenth Gen matured and citbluz began specializing in age-specific clientele.

These rules eventually expanded after the Sister Suicides and, with the maturation of the Eleventh, to prohibit the Tenth and their Eleventh Gen donations from mixing in the brothels. Despite these trends, some citbluz remain multi-generational.

Garden Clubs cater exclusively to Subaki, as this caste tends to prefer sexual and emotional connections with one another until they reach their twentieth year.

  • In the era of the Sixth Gen, enterprising Subaki created open-air drinking and dining establishments so the Ninth Gen Subaki minority could partake in romantic socialization with bizaki. These Square Gardens became popular, leading entrepreneurial Ninth-Gen Subaki to form private clubs for Tenth-Gen Subaki patronage.

Garden Clubs do not allow entry to other castes and enable Subaki a safe place to socialize, relax, and often engage in sexual activity within their own caste.

Marixi Sequestration

At fourteen, Marixi reach the age of Brood-Transition. Those with high-functioning Ilitux cycle to the Guardia Program Barracks and Training Center*. The remaining majority become Brooders.

Orta allows Brooders access to instructional films, colloquially called Icers, featuring adult Zaxiri in a variety of sexual encounters with adult Marixi. These films are not pornographic but serve to display and promote healthy sexual activity.

  • Gardbats in Gardul Battalions receive the same programs and related literature and can participate in instructional groups at a Generational Bluzsh at age sixteen.

Brooders do not have contact with other castes until the period before their Final Trial. (Those with classes outside Orta take advantage of the freedom and encounter other castes in Mynu or Pikalit.) Brooders leave Orta for one night in their eighteenth year, the night before their Final Trial. Most venture to Toxis and this night is called Orta-Attack, despite coinciding with the Hizaki night of freedom, which is called ‘Mynu Leave.’

  • Orta Attack and Mynu Leave attract Bizaki, who are most curious or aroused about being with a young Marixi, affectionately called a Fresh-Bruise.

After her Final Trial, no matter her position in Orta, a Marix can move freely throughout the citizenry. Unfortunately, Marixi remain prone to courtship disorders, so their Orta superiors strongly advise them to seek release only a citbluz.
