Ramaxian World Oceans

Ramaxian World Oceans, or RWO, is the largest military organization in the 23rd-century world. It consists of three branches:

  • Surface Operational (Polar Fleet)
  • Polar Air Command (PAC)
  • The Citizens Guard*
*The Citizen’s Guard, a shared branch that collaborates with the Guardia Committee, plays a crucial role in maintaining order in Ramaxia. The cit-Guards, or Guardia, derived from the Ramaxi word guardul (killer-whale), enforce the law by deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing citizens who violate the rules and norms that govern  Ramaxia.

Marixi arrive in Orta at the age of eight, where they live for the next ten years, maturing in a strict, physical, and regimented environment. At age eighteen, the top 5% acquire immediate rank while another small percentage must work to acquire rank. Elite officers join the Sorority of Defense (also known as Divisional), while most serve the Polar Fleet. Many serve the citizenry in various ways on the surface or at sea. Service can be aboard one of the cyber-marine lifeform vessels or one of the many bases between the poles.

Civilians pejoratively refer to all non-ranking marixi as Fleet Meat. 

The RWO employs a civilian roster in its administrative, domestic, medical, and scientific departments. Hizaki comprise a large portion of the ‘civilian fleet,’ which also contains a hefty share of Bizaki, many of whom serve on fleet vessels.

The commanding prime of the Ramaxian World Oceans is the ruling Primary, to whom all marixi swear allegiance. However, the Prime Chair of Orta holds the actual command of all branches, ensuring an efficient decision-making process.

Under the current Ninth Generation regime, World Oceans promotes Ramaxia’s broader security interests and limits the oceanic territorial rights of select Helovx-Nations.
