The advent of pressure-stable domes and atmospheric shell technology by the original subjects set off a period of aggressive city building known as the Benthic Dome Era. From 2040 and well into the 2060s, the femmar designed and constructed domed metropolitan centers on the ocean floor bays and inlets beneath the Prime Ramax (East Antarctic Ice Sheet).
Ramaxia’s Second Generation built Port Antarctica in the Antarctic West Islands, and their donations in the Fifth Gen constructed Surface Medical and Surface Quarantine, along with Antarctica City, to enable trade with Helovx Nations.
There are multiple Ramaxian stations between the poles, but none are considered colonies except those interstellar communities with permanent or semi-permanent residents.
