Waking the Shored.
After a disastrous first contact with humanity, Pekada, Fusofitakil, and Femitokon pluck twenty-eight pods from the shallows when the lake’s tide goes out. The pods hatch immediately, with twenty-five subjects surviving.

Femitokon and her shored caste sisters (Marixi) encounter armed helovx military outside of McMurdo station. They hunt and kill all forty-eight soldiers.

At the start of Subiz, during the helovx purge of the Prime Ramax, the original subjects and the shored fall into a debilitating sleep.

Breaching the Femaki`xirpaxul.
After studying various helovx cultural media at the helovx-built VK station, many inquisitives and laborers theorize that they might be an alien race. Fusofitakil disagrees, citing their anatomy and nervous system as indicative of life on the planet. Pekada agrees with Fusofitakil but suggests that the lagoon structure has answers.
The brutes and laborers tunnel out a portion of the sand around the structure, revealing several closed entryways. After many unsuccessful attempts to breach the structure, nurturer Veldag stands before an entryway and asks if she can enter. It opens, and a disembodied voice introduces itself as the Femaki`xirpaxul (the mother of you all). Labs, ecological and anatomical stores, technology, and information catalogs are inside.
After establishing trust, Fusofitakil attempts to access information on the remaining pods in the Vostulak. Femaki’xirpaxul later bars her from entry. Pekada stealthily examines the Femaki’xirpaxul’s database and finds in her schematics a benthic platform in the lagoon. If lifted and positioned over the shore, it would allow for the removal of hundreds of thousands of pods. The awakened and the shored lift the platform manually and help move the deck, heavy with pods, onto the shore. While in the water, however, they notice the submerged pods begin to deteriorate.
They salvage 115,000 of 500,000 pods before the others liquify.

The Naming
GEN#592760912400.8 call themselves ‘Femmar’ and learn of their caste-designations. The inquisitives are called Hizak, the laborers are called Bizak, the lovers are Zaxir, and the nurturers Subak. The brutes are called Marix, and though Fusofitakil looks like an Hizak, she sometimes behaves like a brute.
Ramx to Gurtad, 2029
–The first settlement at Gulidox.
The femmar migrate from the Vosk`tulak and move south to the Gulidox Hills, settling in the caves along the Utaru River.
–Marixi on the Prime Ramax
Femitokon and Shored marixi struggle with the inherent aggression of their caste. Veldag and Uymras request that the marixi sequester themselves near the shore, away from the other castes. Instead, Femitokon takes them all to the surface, leaving the most benevolent of her caste below to help with exploration.
Fusofitakil sends many hizaki with them; like her, these hizaki are somewhat aggressive, and their management skills help contain the marixi.
Ixax to Yubol, 2029
–First Manufacturing
A bizak named Ilogwo creates the first clothing after her many subaki friends complain of discomfort from working nude. She utilizes various synthetic fiber formulas parsed from helovx databases on the surface and taps into the Femaki`xirpaxul’s stock of Femati multi-protein complexes. Clothing becomes popular with other castes, leading to the creation of sewing and production rooms.
–Zaxiri Exile
Sexually mature and somewhat promiscuous at age 13, the zaxiri clash socially with the subaki at Gulidox. They are also a distraction for hizaki working in the Femaki’xirpaxul. The entire caste is gathered and sent to the surface to live with Femitokon and her marixi.
–Small-scale subglacial agriculture
A group of bizaki led by Dubgax cultivates the first underground farm in the Uxbax Peninsula, using nocturnal seed stock stored in the Femaki`xirpaxul. The femmar continue harvesting seafish but will not consume pinnipeds or shellfish.

–The Marixi (and Hizaki) Purge
After the Femaki’xirpaxul detects pressure build-up in a super-volcano in the Northern Hemisphere, Fusofitakil anticipates the return of nonpolar helovx to the south. She ventures to the surface and formulates a plan with Femitokon to deal with the impending influx.
Her sudden involvement in marixi command decisions disturbs the leading surface hizak Ulatbant, whose ire sets off a series of events that lead to the Marixi Purge.
On Yulitat 15, 2029, all 18,425 marixi subjects, armed with various weapons, meet at a secluded area on the ice. Here, they engage in hand-to-hand combat under the watchful eyes of the 4,085 surface hizaki. The violence continues for twelve hours, with only Femitokon and 5,400 others surviving.

Hibernation
After learning from the Femaki’xirpaxul that ‘the Sleeping Sickness’ is a natural hibernation period, the femmar set schedules and locations for their mass sleep. Marixi and Zaxiri rejoin their sisters below the ice, and like before, Marixi sleep shorter times and at different intervals throughout the 3 months.
