Femarctic Males

Strict gestational schedules regulated political balance until geneticists created the Femarctic-Male in 2132. Femarctic Males, debuting with Generation #6, gave rise to the Freeborn Era, which began when the Sixth reached sexual maturity. Political and social turmoil reigned until the passing of the Balanced Citizenry Act in 2203.

After the first clutch of Sixth-Gen males had been born, geneticists discovered that four out of ten lacked an identifiable caste designation. Femarctic Males were not as environmentally robust, and because of this, they accessed portions of their brain that normal femmar could not; this intricate brain usage developed in response to their weaker physical state and eventually led to freeborn males in later years evolving with each new generation.

Ninth-Gen Fifth Office, Wox Banto, theorized that males born freely among Generation #10 were the most dangerous. She projected that with each new generation of freeborn males, evolution would grant them dangerous levels of parapsychological awareness and psionic abilities on par with the Collective.

    • Sixth-Gen males engaged in hibernate meditation, allowing them to connect in a subconscious realm similar to the one shared by the Collective.
    • Freeborn males of the disenfranchised Seventh did not need hibernation to connect to other Femarctic Males’ subconscious. They merely meditated to access what they called the ‘Hive Arena.’
    • Ninth-Gen freeborn males could do more than communally meditate; highly empathic, they sensed the emotions of others and acted accordingly.
    • Tenth-Gen freeborn males demonstrated the ability to influence the mood of those around them, thereby avoiding apprehension by authorities or violence among the citizenry.
    • There are no males among Generation #11, and the Femitokon Division has never collected freeborn males of that age group.
