Age of Diplomacy

After Fifth-Generation Pitana Kul had ascended to the position of Primary, newly forming helovx governments reached out to Ramaxia. This era was called the Age of Diplomacy and saw the resurgence of diplomatic relations between helovx-nations, and the establishment of contact with Ramaxia that would advance some nations, and disable others.

Fight for Africa

During the Dark Years, the struggle for the unstable, inundated lands of the African continent, were waged between the remaining peoples of west and central Africa, and the European and Balkan peoples that had been airlifted to the Sahara by the Turks (Saharan Exodus).

As Northern Africa and the Sahara began getting regular intervals of rain, the bolide polluted Nile swelled to cover the collapsed Great Rift. Volcanoes throughout the Congo continued to erupt, melting mountain glaciers, and inundating jungle floors. As the Great Congo Bay formed, central Africans migrated west, overrunning the coastal cities of West Africa. Nigerians slaughtered millions (only the Gabonese survived by fleeing across the Atlantic) until making peace with the largest faction of organized refugees, from Congo-Kinshasa. When the fighting ceased, the Nigerian-Congolese sought the fresh water that was now abundant in the the Sahara Basin. After scouting north, convoys arrived in 2032 to find hundreds of thousands of settlers from Europe, the Balkans, and Turkey; these interlopers lived in organized villages throughout Northern Africa.

Despite an abundance of fresh water and farmable land, racism and cultural division divided those native to continental Africa, from the northern settlers and from 2035-onward, a war waged for the Sahara. The Euro-Turkish war machine forced the Nigerian-Congolese south, and in 2042, the last of the Nigerian-Congolese armies were wiped out after surrendering to Euro-Turkish forces on the beaches of the Saharan Seaway. Unwilling to move further south and commit genocide against civilians, the victors divided themselves into three theocratic factions; Islam returned north, while the Eastern Orthodox Catholics remained in conquered territories to aid surviving natives. The mostly western European army had called itself the Catholic-Protestant League, and they went south purging habitable lands of any remaining Nigerian-Congolese.

The Kenyan Island Incident

On June 20, 2100, the first Toxic-Class lifeform, Kasko, swam into the Nile Seaway and beached itself on a northeastern shore in Kenya Island. Here, the Second Generation Polar Navy began flushing the beast’s ballast cavities. This anatomical-filtration purged the beast of its reserve of used water. On the island lived what remained of the Nigerian-Congolese, driven from Paracenn Island (what remained of the north central Africa). Woman and children approached the crews curious about the beast and the Bizaki life form handlers. Friendly by nature, the Bizaki spoke to them and explained that the salt water taken in by the beast to keeps her buoyant, and her systems lubricated, had to be expelled, and when it expelled, it came out as fresh water. As Bizaki began flushing millions of gallons of fresh water over the dunes, refugees came from miles around, and dug trenches to collect it. Things turned deadly when military forces of the Catholic-Protestant League arrived in fossil-fuel vehicles and opened fire on the refugees.

Fourteen Marixi emerged onto the sands, lined up, and began firing on the vehicles with their palm blasters. They wiped out twenty-two of the vehicles within ten minutes. When more arrived, bringing with them two helicopters, four tanks, and twelve hundred men, and women, all forty-five members of the Nautical Pod assigned to the Kasko emerged and fired on the advancing helovx. Using only their palm-blasters, they decimated the helovx, wiping out their full defense force. The power vacuum created by the destruction of the Catholic-Protestant League, prompted the two remaining factions on Paracenn Island to come together and form the Eurislam Orthodoxy. Taking control of Kenya Island, they brought the Nigerian-Congolese refugees into their communities.

Diplomacy Withdrawn

On January 1, 2124, the Eurislam Orthodoxy sent diplomat’s to Port Antarctica. Among them were five men and two women; the men were not allowed to step foot on Port Antarctica. The women, Maria Kav and Britanny al-Hasat, opted to remain. After only a week of indoctrination on Femarctic culture, the women asked to be returned to their ship. Deeply religious, the women strongly objected to what they saw as a homosexual culture among the single-gender Ramaxian’s. Though they failed to establish diplomatic relations, the helovx of the African Trisect would host Fifth Gen Committee Member, Laxum Wram, in 2128.
