Collective Maintenance

Collective Maintenance is a division of Ramaxian Collective that deals directly with the care of the Paxul`max (Keepers of the Hive). Comprised of custodial, sanitation, sex, domestic, and hospitality workers, elevation to Collective Maintenance requires secrecy and allows recipients an abnormally high credit stipend.

The Paxul`max are an isolated group of engineers, energists, biologists, therapists, and cybernetic technicians that live apart from the citizenry to care for the neural lifeforms of the Ramaxian Collective. Members of the multi-generational sect live apart from the citizenry as service is a lifetime calling. There is no training centered around being a Paxum; each is trained in a specific field and then chosen randomly for service by the Prime Hives of the Collective.

The femmar have no religion, but after Femtrux created the Hives, the Second Gen saw these lifeforms as Ramaxia’s prime-operators and emulated helovx reverence to higher beings by constructing cathedral-like facilities to house them. When these lifeforms created subhives and became partial to certain citizens caring for them, habitat-centers were built to keep these citizens on the premises full-time. Citizen’s in select vocations were then assigned to maintain these habitats, and those isolated by service to the Hive. Collective Maintenance are the only citizens that the paxum have daily contact with as only the sect’s leaders consult with the Sernatae on social, political, or operational matters.

Femtrux is the only life form that has no assigned paxul`max. The Femtrati Azi (House of Femtrux) was abandoned by the lifeform after its Secondary Evolution; Collective Maintenance does see to its upkeep.
